Avec la victoire nationale d'Argenton remportée par Iron Lady, Jan & Tom Iwens ont ajouté une deuxième victoire nationale à leur palmarès en 2025. Un peu plus tôt cette année, ils avaient déjà remporté le 2e National Bourges avec Kim, une performance remarquable pour leur colonie composée d'une petite dizaine de voyageurs!!!
À Sint-Katelijne-Waver, Jan & Tom Iwens ont signé une nouvelle saison remarquable. Lors du concours national de Bourges III, ils remportent la 2e place nationale contre pas moins de 11.056 yearlings. Un résultat exceptionnel en soi, mais loin d’être isolé : le tandem a aussi brillé chez les vieux pigeons avec quatre prix nationaux dans le top 150 : 19e, 21e, 74e et 142e contre 8.132 vieux.

Rappelons également le coup d’éclat réalisé par François Oudermans (Westmalle) en 2024. Il a remporté le 1er + 2e Nat. Argenton 14.745 pigeonneaux (également le plus rapide de tous les 18.120 pigeons).
Le père de ces gagnants provient directement de la colonie Iwens. Le grand père des deux vainqueurs nationaux est un propre frère d’Helga, la mère de Lucy. La grande mère est une propre sœur de l’ancêtre Jules.
